AS9120 Rev B section 8.1 states: …techniques can be used to support

  • design of experiment
  • inspection, and
  • failure mode, effect, and criticality analysis.

Section 8.5.3 (NOTE) says: Examples of preventive action opportunities include:

  • Risk Management
  • error proofing
  • failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA)
  • and information on product problems reported by external sources
